About the Event |
|
This event will support the outstanding CAREERS programs that mentor our youth, position them with careers that benefit our community, and build the business leaders of the next generation.
This first class and light-hearted event will be held at the stunning Heritage Pointe Golf Club just south of Calgary on July 22, 2009. Golfers, Sponsors, and their guests, are also invited to attend a special evening-before reception and silent auction at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino on July 21st.
CAREERS was founded by Eric Newell, O.C. former President and CEO of Syncrude Canada Ltd, former Chancellor of the U of A and Chair of the Edmonton 2015 Universaide Bid and the Chair, Climate Change & Emissions Management Fund. Funds raised will go directly to student programming. The overall goal of this golf tournament is to underscore the importance of maintaining long term investment in Alberta in both times of prosperity and constraint. CAREERS remains committed to enable our youth to have the opportunity to discover their passion through career exposure which results in the young people throughout Alberta succeeding in life and making a strong and meaningful contribution to their communities and in the Alberta economy. |
